Job Description

Seeking an experienced Generator Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and start-up commissioning on power-generation equipment. This role is hands-on in the field and supports overall service operations through accurate documentation, customer interaction, and technical expertise.

Qualifications

• 4+ years generator technician experience
• HS diploma required; technical training preferred
• Strong electrical/mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license; relevant certifications a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and progress through skill levels

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair generators (diesel, gas, standby)
• Perform PMs, load-bank testing, and startup commissioning
• Provide in-person and field technical support
• Diagnose electrical/mechanical issues and follow work instructions
• Document all work clearly and accurately
• Travel to customer sites; respond to emergency calls as needed
• Maintain clean driving record and provide own basic tools
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
