About the role

The Trading Associate is a key member of Triad Wealth’s Investment Team, helping manage and facilitate all aspects of our portfolio trading process. The primary responsibility will be partnering with the current trading team to facilitate various trade requests from our advisory Member firms. This role will also be heavily involved in the portfolio transition process as prospective Member firms onboard with Triad Wealth, helping execute an accurate and timely reallocation to our managed portfolios. Other responsibilities will include rebalancing our proprietary model portfolios, executing trades on SMAs, ensuring trading technologies are properly integrated across our business and assisting in projects with our Investment Management and Operations teams.

What you'll do

• Facilitate transactions throughout market hours as requested by Member firms and/or our Triad Wealth Investment team.
• Partner with the Triad Wealth Investment team to understand Triad Wealth’s portfolio management process and execute on Firm investment decisions.
• Consult with and educate advisor clients on Triad Wealth’s investment process, technology and how to best use our proprietary investment platform and trade portal.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy across all functions and systems utilized and be incredibly detail oriented.
• Continually attempt to enhance the holistic trading process and uncover areas of increased efficiency, leveraging automation techniques where applicable.
• Assist with updating trading policies and procedures periodically.
• Maintain professional and prompt communication with Member firms and Triad Wealth teammates.
• Monitor trading system dashboards for new accounts & portfolios, rebalancing opportunities, cash raise and/or invest transactions as well as execute on tax-loss harvesting strategies.
• Review, research, and resolve unreconciled trades from the previous business day before each trading day begins.
• Minimize the risk of trade errors throughout the course of business and act promptly with Triad Wealth, Member firms, and custodians when errors occur and document incidents.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of trading or investment management experience with a financial services company.
• In-depth knowledge and experience using an order management system (OMS) and/or execution management system (EMS) such as Charles River, CircleBlack, Eze, FBSI, iRebal, Moxy, Tamarac, thinkorswim, etc.; Orion Eclipse and/or TOM trading experience strongly preferred.
• Background knowledge and experience working with major custodial platforms such as Charles Schwab and Fidelity.
• Demonstrated experience with financial technology systems such as Bloomberg, Morningstar, Envestnet, eMoney, etc., both in terms of utilization and cross-integration.

Skills and Attributes:

• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, under pressure with high attention to detail.
• Proven track record of being highly organized with follow-through.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc.) with a strong aptitude for Excel.
• Strong interest in investments, macroeconomics and financial markets.
• Experience managing client and/or advisor relationships and utilizing a CRM to stay organized and manage follow-through.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral), analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• As a registered principal of Triad Wealth this position is subject to SEC restrictions on personal political contributions and gifts & entertainment.

This role reports to Triad Wealth’s Chief Investment Officer.
